Doxology: A liturgical formula of praise to God.
Docsology: A doctor merging medical science and stories in praise to God.
As a Christian physician, I believe that medical storytelling can clearly and powerfully illustrate spiritual realities. Docsology explores what we can learn about God from nature, especially in the intricacies of the human body, and how the stories of suffering people reveal God’s character and love.

Writings
Essays that explain medical science and human illness while exploring spiritual truths.
Mixed Messages, Part 1
In the most beautiful place I have ever seen, I was certainly drawn closer to God… but that was mainly to cry out frantically to him!
The Image of God, Part 2
To dehumanize is human. And the most important person for us to see the image of God in is the one we are most tempted to despise and dismiss. Everyone, like Matthew, like you, like me, should be regarded as a priceless soul which can be redeemed by Jesus.

This beautiful, tenuous equilibrium is sustained by a meticulous designer. He reveals his genius in our resiliency, as well as our fragility.

Road To Hana
And being last of all, taking our sweet time, that is how we won the race that day, the competition to see who could enjoy the wonders of God the most.
Roads Go Ever Ever On
The road goes ever, ever on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the road has gone,
And I must follow if I can
